A young man named Josiah began one of the greatest revivals and awakenings in the Old Testament. Josiah had become king of Israel at the age of 8. Scripture tells us that at the age of 16, he began to pursue God passionately. Like his forefather, David, he began to show signs of godliness early on and gained the respect of the people. 2 Kings 22:2 states, “He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and walked in all the ways of his father, David, not turning aside to the right or to the left.”
This resulted in radical obedience — getting rid of everything that did not honor God and challenging everyone around him to do likewise. These actions resulted in a mighty move of God in his day — actually, one of the greatest ever!
Our theme verse for See you at the Pole™ comes from the heart of this story. Right after the newly discovered scriptures were read to Josiah, the Bible says, “When the king heard the words of the Book of the Law, he tore his robes.” In other words, his heart was pierced with conviction. (Read the full story.)
King Josiah heard the words of God and proclaimed:
“Go and pray to God for me and for the people . . .“ —2 KINGS 22:13a (The Message)
How about you? Do you desire to see a mighty move of God on your campus? Are you pursuing God passionately? Are you serious about radical obedience? Are you determined to get rid of anything and everything that dishonors God and ready to challenge your friends to do the same?
This year’s See You at the Pole™ theme is very simple—ENGAGE: Go and Pray . . .
GO to your school flagpole on Wednesday, September 23, at 7 a.m., and PRAY for your friends, family, school, community and the world.
This year’s See You at the Pole™ challenge is simple:
ENGAGE your school
ENGAGE your community
ENGAGE your world . . . for His glory!
See You at the Pole™ is a great place to
ENGAGE God,
ENGAGE with other believers, and
ENGAGE His heart for your campus . . . in the name of Christ.

Hello all,
If you are signed up for summer camp, read this!
Please make sure you have paid the total of $260.00 for camp in full by June 3, 2009. You can put it in the offering plate marked youth camp, or give it to a youth leader (not me).
We will have a parent-youth meeting on June 10 in the youth room @ 5:30, everyone needs to make a point to attend! We will cover absolutely everything about the trip that night. We will also be doing all forms so we will not have to worry about last minute stuff. If you cannot make it to this meeting, please let me know and we can set up an appointment, thanks!
The forms for the trip are below and are downloadable!
Looking forward to having a blast at camp!

Intimacy - see into me… Allowing others to see inside of us completely! The good and the bad! Not the husband and wife physical intimacy, but emotional intimacy. We all want intimate friendships. You take a risk every time you try to be intimate with another person. You risk being laughed at, rejected, or ignored! BUT, the rewards of an intimate friendship are worth the risk!

Are you ready!!!!!
Hey guys! As most of you already know, we’re trying to raise money to help my cousin and her husband adopt a baby from Russia. Apart from the Adoption Yard Sale we’re having this Saturday, someone has come up with an idea to raise the stakes.
Starting today and lasting until Sunday, if we raise $500, Kyle Shell and Tracy has offered to SHAVE THEIR HEADS! It’s all for a great cause and I think it’ll be worth it just to see it done.
So this Wednesday when you come to CRAVE, bring along some spare change and see if we can reach our $500 goal to get Kyle and Tracy’s head shaved. It’s going to be interesting.
All the proceeds will go directly to Shanon and Benji to help bring our baby home!
